Lord Murugan, also known as Kartikeya, Skanda, Subramanya, or Kumara, is a revered Hindu deity primarily worshipped in South India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and among Tamil communities worldwide. He is considered the God of War, Wisdom, and Victory, and is particularly beloved in Tamil culture.
He rides a peacock named Paravani, which symbolizes the destruction of ego.
Wields the Vel (divine spear), a powerful weapon given by his mother, Parvati, to vanquish evil.
Sometimes shown with six faces (Shanmukha), representing his omnipresence and omnipotence, or with two hands in his benevolent form.
